As the GM of Berry Dining, Sam leads the Dining Management team to create great food and experiences! He’s been at Berry College for 2 years and in Higher-Ed dining for the past 9 years. When he’s not working, Sam normally enjoys spending his time outdoors hiking and fishing. He has a goal to walk the entire Appalachian Trail one day. Sam’s favorite food is Korean BBQ (Short Ribs & Kimchi).
Chef Shawn develops and executes culinary solutions to meet students’ needs and tastes. He has worked at Berry Dining as an executive chef for 2 years, and in higher education since 2013. Outside of work, Chef Shawn likes to hang out with his son and wife. He also enjoys cooking and eating Indian Cuisine, especially curry.
Eric is our Director of Retail Operations here at Berry Dining, where he’s worked for over 10 years. He is responsible for managing all retail locations on campus and delivering exceptional customer service to all guests. Eric enjoys space-based sci-fi movies and his favorite food is huarache.
Focused on ensuring the safety and efficiency of the main campus dining hall, Darrin works with other managers to oversee all dining hall employees and visitors. Darrin has worked here at Berry Dining for 30 years. When Darrin isn’t serving here at Berry, he is watching sports or hanging out with his grandson. His favorite food is hamburgers.
Amanda helps to ensure that the dining hall is running smoothly, whether that’s food safety procedures, budget goals being met, and more. She has worked at Berry Dining for 7 years. Amanda loves to spend time with her family and her favorite food is pecan pie.
As a location manager, Aidan assists with running the main campus dining hall, allowing for effectiveness and efficiency within our staff and our performance. Aidan has worked for Berry for several months and previously served as a chef in the restaurant industry for 20 years. He enjoys spending time with family and his favorite food is braised short rib.
Additional Staff
Jeremy manages the on-site office support staff while assisting operating departments with forecasting, budgeting, auditing, and labor controls. He ensures the adherence to credit policies and the timely completion of all financial documentation. He enjoys spending time with his niece and her dog. His favorite food is French Fries!
Glory creates collateral for all dining locations, manages the social media accounts, and coordinates events for students, faculty, and guests. Glory has over 3 years of marketing experience and has worked at Berry for half a year. Outside of work, she enjoys bowling and traveling the world. Her favorite food is pepperoni pizza.
Marissa’s mission is to show people how they can still enjoy their favorite foods and live a healthy lifestyle. She believes in taking a person-centered approach with her clients because everyone’s nutritional needs are different. She has experience with providing medical nutrition therapy while focusing on improving quality of life. She approaches clients in an empathetic manner and works with them to establish their nutrition related goals while building lifestyle changes. She enjoys trying new foods and working out. Her favorite food is popcorn!
Estefany is responsible for planning and leading all catering operations, including orders and special events. She also develops the budgets and financial goals of the department. Estefany has worked with Berry Dining for 2 years. Her favorite things to do outside of work are going to the gym and spending time with her dog. Estefany’s favorite foods are red velvet cake and Korean barbeque.
